That's what a wake-up gas cartridge is. We've been developing gas cylinders similarly for decades, and they work. Then a man showed up who realized we had been doing something wrong all these years. Just like the people who felt we were using too much water to flush the toilet and built slow flow toilets, or the people who realized how much water we were wasting in the shower and restricted the flow to the shower head - who - anyone realized that gas canisters are too easy to use and came up with this design. Someone figured out that the old design allowed people to pour gasoline on the brush to start a fire, so they built a gas canister that wasn't supposed to do that. Very few innovations make the gas bottle BETTER. They only complicate the use of the gas cartridge and at the same time limit the possible uses. I had no trouble filling the gas canister with the pump. My button worked. But none of what he needs to fix was a problem for me from the start. In the end this is a decent quality gas bottle that works great for me. I'd be just as happy with an old school gas canister. It's nice to know that I have a little more control the closer I get to refueling, but that's about it. I would recommend this gas bottle to a friend but only if he really needs it as the old style suits me.
