You're going to look like an idiot fiddling around with this thing. stunned. not killed - the protective mesh around the electrical part of the fly swatter is too thick and large. They won't kill bigger flies. they just bounce off the guard - small bugs go through the mesh unharmed because the striker's electrical mesh is too thin - you lose your footing if you hold down the ON button, which activates the electricity for the fly swatter while you brandish and wave weapons. It's all plastic so sweaty or oily hands will slip off the button and when you hit the bug it doesn't snap because you have to hold the button ON - the time it worked was down to a miracle, this one Thing isn't strong enough to really do any kind of widespread damage - you'll swing your arms around and miss 4 times out of 5 due to all of the above. If you get hit, it was pure luck. This thing is generally very frustrating, annoying and tiring to use - skip it. it's not that strong. weak current. all plastic bodies. The mesh is too thick and too big. The constant need for the ON button is annoying. it is not sustainable. I wouldn't be surprised if people didn't add that they threw the fly swatter out of shame because of the fly swatter's handle. This has never happened to me, but sometimes I lost my grip because of the plastic handle. I use it at night when I'm lifting weights outside when it's cooler. My hands sometimes sweat. I lose my grip quite often when swinging it wildly. I barely got into insects because of all of the above: weak. too big and too small. it is almost always practically useless. I want to buy something else.
