I didn't take measurements and only bought by age which was my fault. My 7 year old is tiny compared to other kids her age and I don't know her height from the height of my head and haven't measured her recently. She has 4 year old friends above her. Anyway, I originally bought a 6-8 and she swam in it. We kept it because it's a GREAT pair of pants and she's going to wear them at some point. Waterproof and warm with a fleece lining... perfect for PNW weather. Anything colder and you need to layer. We went down to a size 5 anyway but honestly could have bought her a size 4 as she is the same size as smaller than her 4 year old friends yes as 5 -e is very big for her too. Thing is, I had to measure! HAHA, but they are beautiful!
