Great case if you don't need RAID

This is for the 5-bay USB-C version. Let's start with the bad, so 4 stars:1 . The connection sometimes drops when using a USB-A to USB-C cable connected to the Thinkpad T470 USB-A 3.0 port. happens when creating a soft raid and simultaneously recording on 4 disks. I had to use a USB-C to USB-C cable that works reliably.2. Sometimes it will slow down for a while before reaching full speed. Now for the positives, which are quite a bit1. It was reliable when using a USB-C to USB-C connection with a Thinkpad T470. I was using Windows disk space with 4 drive parity and wrote >1TB on it and never had a shutdown2. Installing the hard drive is extremely easy, and the door mechanism is solid, so I don't worry about the hard drive falling out when moving.3. The back panel does not block airflow, a large hole between the hard drive and the fan. withstood recording at full speed on 4 HDD for half an hour, HDD another 35Π‘.4. the fan is very quiet. similar to my Synology NAS5. A separate hard drive has its own power switch, you can switch between them without worrying about a short circuit. but this causes confusion at first as I was wondering why nothing happened after I pressed the main switch on the back panel6. The hard drive and fan turn off when the hard drives are idle and when the computer is turned off. Of course, it will continue when you turn on the computer7. Throughput was great. supports recording to 4 hard drives at 150MB/s8. The USB-C hub allows for future expansion, although I haven't tested it yet.9. The LED indicators are pretty small and don't bother me. I've double checked every 4/5 bay USB-C enclosure; I believe this is the best option and none of them if you don't need hardware RAID. Update in a week. 10 TB of data moved there and from there. everything happens with storage space in parity, ie 4 hard disks can be written/read at the same time. Rock. never stopped and never slowed down. excellent update after 6 months. 24x7 for the last 6 months. Absolutely no problem. not a single disconnect. still calm like the first day. no complaints.
