CLONE ERASED MY ORIGINAL HARD DISK AND DID NOTHING!

I followed the simple instructions. I'm just trying to clone to an SSD drive! This is ridiculous, I put a drive in with a new drive and it never went above 25%. Although it's not the worst. This operation has rendered my original drive inaccessible! I lost all my DATA because of this POS that advertised an easy CLONE process! Maybe it should have been a simple WIPE operation. This is the second SABRENT product I bought to complete the cloning process, the first because my operating system got…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

I needed something like this to sort through the bare discs I had lying around. This docking station is good for docking two drives. I'm glad I spent a little more on the two bay version. I bought it mainly for disk cloning, including block cloning of failed disks. The docking station has built-in cloning capabilities that do not require a computer. Sounds great right? Just set it up and let it do an offline cloning process. The problem is that there is no way to determine if a cloning…

DOES NOT WORK FOR OFFLINE CLONING AS RECOMMENDED!

I specially purchased this item for Samsung EVO SSD offline cloning. For offline cloning, the following is recommended: 1. Insert the source drive into hard drive bay A, and then insert the target drive into hard drive bay B.2. Make sure the USB cable is disconnected from the computer.3. Connect the power adapter and turn on the device.4. Hold the CLONE button and release it when you see the blue LED.5. Then quickly press the CLONE.6 button. The blue LED will flash at 25% to indicate the…

Pros
  • this is amazing

I like Sabrent products and found this product to work very well initially. I didn't use the disk cloning option but found excellent read/write speeds (180MB+) including between two disks on the same docking station. However, I initially gave the device bad reviews and sent it back because it shredded GPT partitions on my 4TB drives. I later updated the rating to correct my statement that the problem was with the system (and increased the rating to 4 stars). I am now updating the rating again…

Great case if you don't need RAID

This is for the 5-bay USB-C version. Let's start with the bad, so 4 stars:1 . The connection sometimes drops when using a USB-A to USB-C cable connected to the Thinkpad T470 USB-A 3.0 port. happens when creating a soft raid and simultaneously recording on 4 disks. I had to use a USB-C to USB-C cable that works reliably.2. Sometimes it will slow down for a while before reaching full speed. Now for the positives, which are quite a bit1. It was reliable when using a USB-C to USB-C connection with…

Blame it, dear Brutus, it's not our Sabrent case, it's ours

Wanted Easy enough to set up a reliable hard drive enclosure to run Windows Storage Space. The Sabrent USB 3.2 5-Bay 3.5" SATA Hard Drive Drive Dock without Tray (DS-SC5B) meets the requirements: 🗹 Metal housing for durability 🗹 At least 5 bays for parity support for 5 drives 🗹 Hot-swappable, meaning not have to disassemble it when the drive inevitably fails (I'm lazy) 🗹 USB C 3.1 or better so it's as fast as my computer can handle 🗹 Upgradable for future memory greed full manual Only…

Pros
  • Supports transfer rates up to 5 Gb/s (USB 3.0), 480 Mb/s (USB 2.0), 12 Mb/s (USB 1.1)
Cons
  • Crumpled

I was very excited about this product. I have 4x 4TB in it, so a total of 16TB. Each drive is separate from the others, two of which are identical models/brands, the other two are completely different. I switch them between my different computers with a USB-C to USB-C cable. I'm getting about 160-180 MB/s rock solid with no change in the number of drives I'm accessing. Immediately try to move the large files. I can't fault this for the product that contains the root cause of the problem.) All I
