I had to pay more than I wanted, but I received a product that gave more than I expected.

I was very excited about this product. I have 4x 4TB in it, so a total of 16TB. Each drive is separate from the others, two of which are identical models/brands, the other two are completely different. I switch them between my different computers with a USB-C to USB-C cable. I'm getting about 160-180 MB/s rock solid with no change in the number of drives I'm accessing. Immediately try to move the large files. I can't fault this for the product that contains the root cause of the problem.) All I can say is that the device itself goes FAR beyond the current hardware limitations that I already have. The cap on the potential future limit is huge. The fan noise is quiet, it can be run near my server with no noise penalty if you are already trying to go quiet and it runs very cold. The front panel is always cold to the touch, ALL drives stay at 28-32ยฐC even DURING the long night transmissions. "Device type. I think what worries me is that hard drives start to vibrate, and I've heard that the more hard drives you assemble without independent damping in between, the worse this vibration problem gets and throws the collective group off-beat Hard drive crashes or just accelerated wear. I only mention this because I remember all drives are held in place with metal latches and there is no way to dampen the vibrations inside whatever the device is. I remember only of this situation but i also do NOT need to turn on all 4 drives at the same time when i use it, nor do i use the device 24 hours a day 7 days a week. happy to use the device for their needs. I have to no longer plugging in 4 different external devices every time I need to share files Conclusion: I've been choosing these things for about 3 years I've been en Apologies for the many bad reviews about poor ventilation/temperature control/inaccessible drives. Nor was I interested in paying $800 for something that turned out to be right. really wanted for Sabrent. nevertheless it was worth it. I would recommend this device if you are looking for a lightweight future proof (USBC) container for all your spare hard drives. High quality 1.8m USB-C to USB-C 10Gb/s cable The included "USB-A to USB-C" cable is only good enough to connect a 6" charging cable from my console system to my USB charging controller. iVANKY and Nimaso have proven themselves.)

Pros
  • Plug and play, no drivers required.
Cons
  • Expensive
