This is an addendum to a review I posted two hours ago. I found this with my Spyder X Elite. Basically, you need to determine the ideal white point using your computer's built-in display color control (it's the Display feature in your Mac's System Preferences), and your computer screen brightness should be set to maximum, just like your computer. Set the computer's default color. Then when you calibrate in the Spyder X, leave the White Point and Brightness controls on Don't Adjust, then calibrate the color. THIS IS THE ONLY way to get this thing to work. When I get the Spyder X to change my monitor's white point or brightness during calibration, it looks incredibly stupid, which it does. This makes my monitor look broken. Anyway, after trying for at least 5 hours I was finally able to get it working. I hope this review will help some people.
