Review on ACE-904011 Custom Dial Elbow Strap, Pack of 1 by Jeff Bundrick

Adjustable watch strap really works

I hate the way Revain groups multiple unrelated products by size or color. It's really confusing when you look at questions and reviews. You never know what they're referring to until people get this straight, so let me get this straight. I'm considering an adjustable bracelet with a dial. I don't play tennis, but I climb, scramble, and use percussion massagers (requiring a shaker thing to be held in hand). All of these things emphasize my grip. Tennis elbow and golfer's elbow are caused by inflammation and shortening of the tendons in the forearm due to overhandling, the pain radiating into the elbow. Wrist stretching doesn't always work (although immobilization is possible) because you're just pulling harder on the ties at the elbow. When you suffer from these conditions and you clench something or just clench your fist, you usually feel the tightness spreading from your forearm to your elbow, where the pain blossoms. The trick is to block that path, and that's where the bracket comes in. Put it on and adjust so the adjustable pad is just over the tendon and then twist it in and the pad will be pressed against the tendon, it should be very snug. Other straps that aren't adjustable, unlike this one, will never be tight enough for me because I can adjust them. You are essentially pinching the tendon at this point. So when you squeeze your first contraction the tension extends to the brace and releases, the area of tendon over the brace does not contract or shorten and can simply remain relaxed allowing it to heal. The benefits for me are noticeable after a few hours of wearing. I mainly use this for tennis elbow. I also suffer from golfer's elbow but haven't used it for that yet. My bracelet just broke and I ordered a new one. The metal wire that pulls the pillow taut cuts the plastic piece it slides through. I still rate it five stars because it works and I used it A LOT before it broke. So I guess I'm just exhausted. Nothing is forever.
