Generally quite happy with this timer. I bought this to control mealtimes with my 5 year old who was taking years to finish eating and to help him brush his teeth long enough. I wasn't sure how it would go but he really enjoys using it and reminds me to grab a timer if I forget to set it for mealtime! ADVANTAGES: No batteries required! Fairly loud buzzer but not annoying. Read and watch the red countdown display. Magnetic! Has a nice strong magnetic backing so I can stick it to the fridge between uses and adds a handy kitchen timer. Has two small legs for a stand at the back so it can be easily pulled out to where you need it.
