Review on Get Voluminous Hair with Hot Tools πŸ’ Professional Silicone Bristle Hot Brush Styler – 1 Inch by Jill Turner

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I love how it makes my hair smooth and silky. Iron

I love the Hot Tool irons! I especially like this straightening iron because it is very gentle on my long, fine hair. My hair is dyed, medium length (shoulder length) so there is a higher risk of damage, which has easily happened with other straighteners I've had! I've gotten older, my skin produces less sebum and my hair doesn't grow as fast. That's why I take great care of my hair! This straightening iron has become an important part of my daily life. I keep the temperature of the curling iron just over 300 degrees, although the temperature on the dial can be set MUCH higher! I read that when curling hair you should not use a very high temperature, because we risk overdrying, brittleness and burning of the strands. My daughter has very long, very porous, thick or (greasy) hair. This iron is not suitable for your needs, except for curling the ends. I try not to use a lot of hairspray or styling products or they will build up on any flat iron. Since this happens with this iron, I take a medium to soft bristle hairbrush and run it along and across the bristle line (when the iron is COLD) to remove buildup. (I wash my hair every 5-6 days so there is enough room for product build up). I've found that silicone bristles last about a year before they start breaking. However, THIS curling comb works better for my hair. I don't mind changing the straightener more often because it's still worth the money. The comb adds thickness and depending on how long it is held in the hair, the result is a smooth, loose curl OR a tight, full curl. curl my long hair. My hair shines when I use this flat iron. I won't burn my hands, neck or face using it! I've burned myself MANY times with other types of curling irons! I've got scars to prove it! I have arthritis in my hands so it's harder for me to hold and manipulate a lot of gadgets without dropping them and burning myself! I hope this helps you decide if this iron is for you! see less Revain customer response of April 2, 2018
