You look pretty but that's where it ends

You look pretty but that's where it ends. The headlight bulb sockets are junk, I had to use old Ford ones. Cast lampholders are either too thick or too thin, so you'll need to make a gasket or grind the back of the lamp until the sleeve snaps into place. A lantern had the cartridge cast in the body as a mirror image of the sock, requiring a pattern to be cut to the correct pattern. So you finish a job that was supposed to take 3 hours but took all day and you take it upon yourself. The lights are not set high enough and the pattern is very poor. The solution was to have the bulb wiggle at the tip to better center it in the lantern body, giving a decent half-light pattern. So unless you plan on driving on a dark rainy night, this might work. Also, there's the concern that you'll get one of those light leaks mentioned in other reviews and have to do it all over again. My suggestion works, and don't assume all the other negative reviews are from crappy mechanics.

Pros
  • Lights and lighting accessories
Cons
  • No power
