Review on Magnefine Magnetic Inline Transmission Steering by Imed Artun

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far so good, best in filter

I replaced the rack and pinion and decided to add a filter. It's only been installed for a week, but so far so good. I chose it for its all-metal body and reliable volume size. There is no pressure sensor on my transmission lines. If the filter is clogged, nothing tells you you have a fluid restriction (except for a few minutes when you're having trouble steering, before your pump probably fails due to clogging). I chose the size after reviews of the small ones suggested they could clog due to insufficient filter area. I went with an all metal cover after reading about the many plastic ones or those that open and leak. I had plenty of room to stow it in my engine bay. I have decided not to cut. Instead, I bought 3/8" transfer hose and then used about 4" of it to run from the filter to the pump return. On the side of the original hose (going out from the radiator) I just pressed on the slack. This allows me to disable the filter and reconnect the original line if the need ever arises. No clips are supplied so make sure you have at least two.

Cons
