I bought the uninsulated pair because I needed a bag. I went skiing when the temperature was around 40 (F) and I was cold. I would say they are best suited for temperatures in the 50's and 60's. I still give them 5 stars because I didn't expect them to be really warm. I knew I was getting a basic kit. I'm 5-11 years old, 230 pounds and size XL fits perfectly. The padding is very comfortable - for at least 20 miles - but seems fine for long trips too. I think they will be perfect for the days when I would wear shorts with leggings. 5 Stars. would recommend.
