Review on Continental PremiumContact 6 315/45 R21 116Y summer by Adam Nowak ᠌

It's not all bad, an average quality purchase.

Completely unsatisfied with the experience of riding in the rain! Prior to that, I drove Dunlop SP Sport Maxx in almost the same size (R21-22) for eight years, and I found that it performed significantly better on wet pavement. Whoever claims that this Continental has strong wet traction is either suffering from a severe case of self-delusion or simply hasn't ridden a bike with a really good grip rubber. Frequent instances of aquaplaning as well as lateral drift on wet pavement throughout the summer, even in places where the studded Haka 9 does not slide laterally into the slush. Very peculiar direction of the tread on each of the different axles. I won't be writing about noise because, in my opinion, this topic is irrelevant if the driving qualities are above and beyond excellent and there is nothing that can be faulted with the vehicle. If that is not the case, then writing about it serves no use.

Pros
  • Excellent braking performance results in a soft turn.
Cons
  • Even at moderate speeds, it is possible to aquaplane and drift laterally around curves on wet roads.
