Well made and works great. I've spent quite a bit of time reading reviews and discussing what features I need. He arrived the same day. The case is pretty good, although maybe not as nice as the DeWalt, but good enough. I preferred this similarly priced DeWalt model for its features. I was afraid it would look like a cheaply made tool, but it seems reliable. The first project I wanted to use it for was recessed lighting and I thought a plumb bob would be useful. It was a good decision. This simplified the layout of the island, counters, and floor. Just measure any gaps on this handy work plane and stick a small sticker where you need light. Then adjust the plumb point of the spirit level so that it shines on the decal and projects a crosshair onto the ceiling where you need to drill. Worked great. Some of the comments I read said the lines are hard to see. I found that the combination of the projected area and the ambient light matters. On some surfaces it appears as clear as possible even in a very well-lit area, and on other surfaces it's difficult to see even with the lights off. We have countertops that look like dark granite (but they don't). Didn't do very well but showed quite well. The included laser aim is also useful when trying to aim the beam at a point in space. The included magnetic stand came in handy in a few spots where I needed to project a plumb point onto the floor near the edge of the counter. I placed a heavy metal tool box on the edge of the counter and used the magnets at the bottom of the spirit level to attach it to the box. Works perfectly. In summary, a great tool for the money. My only advice is that you might want to consider a more expensive model that projects 360-degree beams in all three planes. This would have helped me a few times but it never stopped me from showing this model. All you have to do is move and adjust the laser.
