I'm new to photography but I needed an inexpensive camera to take photos for food blogs or events. After a lot of research, I settled on this one because it fit my $300 budget. The camera is pretty basic and includes a charging cable and batteries. The basic memory is sufficient for approx. 4 photos, so a memory card is absolutely necessary. It takes good photos in natural light and doesn't work well in low light without a flash. However, I can easily lighten photos with editing software (I sometimes use Lightroom, but free programs do that too), so it's not a problem. Photo details are sharp, but sometimes darker colors (black or blue) can look muted without color correction. I like the swiveling viewfinder, but wish the camera had a fully swiveling screen. I love that it has really sharp 1080p videos. Uploading photos with a USB cable is also very easy. I have a MacBook and all the photos are imported easily without any software. Haven't tried the Wi-Fi feature yet, but I like that it's an option too. This model is over a year old, but if you don't mind the lack of the latest tech, it's still a good buy for those on a budget. The attached photo is an unedited enlarged photo of a bush in my garden. Very detailed!
