Kids use Chromebooks for distance learning. But the screens on the SMALL ones provided by the school. I have several older monitors and thought it would be better to have something visually larger. Doing a Zoom session and squinting at the screen of your small laptop would be a major inconvenience. The problem with using old monitors with new laptops is the connections. I did not think, that this adapter existed until I checked. And even then I was skeptical how well it would work. The transition from USB-C to DVI is a unique combination. I was glad to find this and IT WORKS PERFECTLY with no issues, no crashes, lines or loss of quality. It's pretty amazing and I'm happy to be able to reuse old technology.
