This is my second humidifier. The first one was a slightly different design, where the water flowed from above onto many horizontal discs / trays. The quiet murmur of water was heard :-) We use the aggregate as follows. We fill the bucket with water. So it turned out to be much more convenient than carrying a pallet. Within a week or two, we only add water. Several times a month we make a complete drain of yellowed (from iron salts) water. I cleaned the discs from plaque once a season (in the spring) - and it was flour, since it was problematic to boil such a number of discs with antiscale. This year I found a very effective way - washing in a dishwasher with a descaling agent (sold specifically for cleaning the heating elements of dishwashers). The discs are like new again and without any effort.
