I was dying to use this car mount. It is durable and easy to open/close. But I had to take the warnings in the Pixel XL Owner Reviews seriously. Clamps at the top and bottom interfere with the power and volume buttons. Once they turned off my phone and turned down the volume a few times. If you position the phone so that the buttons are on the bottom, you can slightly move the phone to the side so that the buttons are between the two clips. Looks a bit weird, but it works. Revised on 12.4. I finally gave up using this with the Pixel XL. The buttons are right where the bracket should hold the phone. I tried mounting my phone off center but that only made the vibration worse where the lever/ball fits into the socket on the back of the phone holder. I could probably fix it by gluing the two pieces together, but it's not worth it anymore.
