I'm a relatively new embroiderer (a few months old) and when I started I had to buy everything separately: frame, needles, needle. Needle threader, small scissors, design kit (fabric, thread, pattern) - don't do that with this kit - it's the perfect kit for beginners as everything is thought of. A few quick notes: Packaging and Shipping - Everything was well packaged, no problem here :) Table of Contents -1) The instruction manual is a great walk-through for beginners. Let's find out what you need to know and how to do it - with color-coded step-by-step instructions 2) Hoop - This hoop is high quality. I had the cheap ones and they were ok but when I saw these I was really happy. I would buy this hoop separately because it's great for sewing and even displaying a finished project. 3) Needles and a needle threader are essential! The needle threader is a nice touch and is now a must have for my cross stitch projects. various cross stitch patterns - they have one pre-printed on fabric (perfect to start with) and then fun extras where you follow pattern 6) fabric - they have a little pattern so you can practice a few stitches (another super nice touch!) , a pre-printed stencil (perfect to start with) and then some pre-cut white Aida options for other stencils7) Scissors - a small pair of scissors is also included! If I had a TLDR this would be the perfect starter kit. , and also for those who want to sew one of the cute patterns as the complete set is good (especially this embroidery hoop!)
