Review on Dritz 608 Ripper Small Multicolor by Barbara Simmons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Brick and Mortar like this

I bought this in Brick and Mortar and it's the same size as the one I used in the 80's. The tip is beveled to slip under the seam and then pushed further in to get to the sharp part. Perhaps some of the bad reviews are related to arthnic hands, that would be hard to understand, but I think ripping a seam would be just as difficult, if not more so, given the need for grip and precise movement. The cap makes a great pen. Stays in place if kept in a rarely used drawer, but I suspect it will hold up well in the kitchen. A box that is used almost every day. I lost mine and figured it was affordable enough to have a second one floating in the kitchen drawers. Works on multi-row patches of bucilla felt stocking set as well as signature stitches. The only possible limitation is whether this is a micro version, but it isn't. The same thing. color and style. Easy to carry in your handbag when the thread is loose and needs trimming. Press a large portion of the thread against the fabric so as not to pull it and thread your finger through it. We won't all be able to fix it when we should. :)

Pros
  • Sewing Supplies and Supplies
Cons
  • Crumple Pack

It arrived defective! The tip is broken off and missing making this completely useless.
