There may be better deals on similar chairs but this one will last around 4-5 years. A few whacks and it didn't start to crack and "flatten the pillow" until about year 3, which is pretty good for the wear and abuse I've put it through. The original chair still looks decent, but I had to have surgery on it after some of the "plastic eyes" started breaking and had to be constantly tightened. After about 2-3 years of heavy use, the cushions became VERY "flat" and lost most of their padding. I didn't realize how crumpled the upholstery was until I bought a new chair and now it's very "fluffy" in comparison. If you are looking for an unusual SERTA chair, this is not the one; If you're looking for a super simple and cheap chair, this isn't it either. If you are looking for a cheap chair and like the suede texture at a reasonable price, this is the chair for you.
