It's black and heavy. What I wanted. However, there is only one way to install it. To clarify, the hinge pin is inserted neatly so that the head (I think the head of the nail) rests in a nice little notch for the finished look. This is on one side only. This means that the running rubber tip is always on the right and the flat rubber tip is always on the left. It doesn't matter how the door opens. Unfortunately, this means you don't have a choice as to which part rests on the real door and which part rests on the door frame. See photo. Since my frame isn't flat, I would have preferred to lean the stem against it, but I had no choice. Let's see if it doesn't dent my wood paneling or front door.
