Imagine you're on YouTube, watching a video, and then you need to pause for something. You then go back there and grab your mouse to play the video again, only to hit the page button and the browser goes back a page and loses its place in the video. This happened to me not just once, but 8 times, every time I grabbed the mouse for the first few hours of using the mouse. The side buttons are a real pain due to their location right on the thumb when on the mousepad, and they're overly sensitive. I couldn't find a way to disable these buttons in Windows. Also, attempting to open the mouse to disable these buttons in hardware (cutting off the backs of the plastic buttons) is blocked by where Logitech placed the screws. Attempting to remove the screws leaves the glide pads on the bottom of the mouse unusable. This mouse turned out to be a waste of money for me.
