Ideal if you don't want to spend money on unnecessary "extras" and don't have enough storage space. It warms up, roasts, roasts, roasts and takes up little counter space. The window is big enough to give a good view of what's going on inside. The settings on the dials are very difficult to read, but you can, and I learned the settings fairly easily (with a magnifying glass, as I have older eyes). It doesn't have a light to show when it's up to the set temperature, but I just turn it on, give it a few minutes if needed, and assume it's up to temperature as it heats up quickly. You can use an oven thermometer if the temp was critical. I still use the microwave to reheat liquids and leftovers and the electric range to boil eggs and bake bread, but it's perfect for toasting/reheating pastries, toasting anything and making custom-sized pizzas. Good kitchen utensil, very practical. Not all toasters can fry, so this is a better buy than some. However, if you want temperature accuracy, you might want an instrument with a display and perhaps easier-to-read dials.
