is a very good brake caliper set. I bought these to replace Mitutoyo calipers for my home shop that seem to have died somehow. The display is large, the fine adjustment is good. I like that the dial is held in place by a screw because if the plastic breaks it can be replaced (assuming you can buy a spare). It also uses the more common battery size. I also like how fractions are displayed. This gives you fractions within +/- 0.002". I wish the range was a bit wider, but that's fine. I think it would be great if they always showed the nearest fraction and then had a point, which lights up when you are within that small range Another thing is that looking at numbers at an angle is not as good as my old Mitutoyo Another thing that is not as good is the case My Mitutoyo -Case was snug fitting and very hard.I was able to stand on this thing and had no problems.This case isn't very strong in comparison.If you put something heavy with a caliper in it I would be worried about damaging it could.okay I'm a great carpenter so I guess I need to do something else!
