The lower cup holder does not fit American Coke bottles. The only great thing about this model is that it holds and rotates a large Yeti coffee mug very well on the top expandable cup holder. The closed bottom cup holder won't fit a regular Coke bottle unless it's as thin as white claw cans. Also, it doesn't fit snugly in your car's cup holder as it's a smaller size that doesn't allow it to hold anything else unless it's on the top holder. This gives you some cushions to add to the sides of the holder to keep it in place.
