The reason for 4 stars out of 5 is that it's a bit difficult to put the ring on the back of the phone. You need to locate the charging location on the phone. Once you've determined the location, you'll need to somehow remove the sticky backing from the ring and center it around the loading location. I had to use tape to hold the ring and position it that way. My only suggestion is to leave the white back on until you're absolutely sure it's in the optimal spot on the back of the phone. Now if, like me, you have a backup battery built into your case that can charge (both case and phone) at the same time, make sure the surface of the case is smooth enough to handle the load. You may need to prepare the case (light sanding to press down the surface to allow the glue to stick). In terms of charging capability, you will need a 5V or better cigarette lighter plug to enjoy the full functionality of high-speed charging. . Otherwise, it will just charge slower. After you've cleaned your phone and prepared it for ring attachment, you need to glue the sticky side of the ring and allow it to fully adhere. I suggest doing this right before bed so you have the time you need to prepare. Do not put on the ring and do not expect that you will immediately try to hang up the phone (otherwise it will fall off the ring). Have him (overnight) at least sit on a perch on his back to help him tune in (if you can sit with a book or something light to help connectivity. I'm in the process of adding another one for mine Buying work trucks so I have one for my work phone and one for my personal phone the only downside is I can't find or buy a new mounting ring it takes a minute to install properly so take your time take it take your time and put it on Don't try it if you don't have at least 60 minutes to get it right I LOVE IT!
