Product wise a great hood for the price. It was an incredibly nasty setup. I consider myself quite skilled and I've had a very difficult time. I spent about 5 hours with a wizard and we had to throw away the instructions that came with it and piece it together using various YouTube videos and our own intuition. If you have a built-in closet, you will need to use wood standoffs to create platforms for inserting screws to hold the hood. How to do this is not in the instructions. No matter what I did I couldn't insert the shins cleanly and when I finally did the screws couldn't line up properly so I had to start over 3 times because the gap was too small when installing the screws I did I don't want to drill a hole next to another hole in a thin piece of wood. Instead of pushing it, I finally gave up. I filled the recessed cabinet with as many wood shims as I could to get a large workspace, then propped up the hood with stacks of books while I hand-tightened the screws into their final position. In any case: This is not an easy task with your own hands. I highly recommend professional installation if you have built in cabinets or are considering a different model. Some models come with a paper template showing exactly where to put the screws. I don't have this model.
