I bought this unit after a renovation. It broke after about 3 weeks, right before the refurbished return window, but that's not why I gave it two stars. It's just a poorly designed device from a company that doesn't seem to care about this product segment. The new device is a little cheaper than Iogear's similar one, but it comes cable-free and unless you have extra USB printer cables and DisplayPort cables, the cost ends up being the same. This device has a bright red and green LED on the front panel. When your computer goes into sleep mode or shuts down, the red light stays on and the green light keeps flashing. Unless you cover this light with some kind of tape, you can't keep it in any room where people live, as it's very noticeable even when the light is on, and even more so when it's dimmed or turned off. It's also very annoying in the office. The device only works with native DisplayPort computer cards as it does not work with an adapter. If you change computers and the new one comes with HDMI or whatever, you won't be able to use the adapter and this box will just be junk.
