We bought this to paint our linen closet. It does a good job for both primer and paint. You have to be sure to not make the paint that runny. If you do, you may get 'drippage'. We attributed that to just us being a little inexperienced with using the spray gun. Once you get the hang of that, it works pretty well! Cleaning is our only issue with the product - and it's not a huge deal. There's a filter on the back of the gun that seems to perhaps get a bit clogged with paint if you use it in an enclosed area like we did. You'll need a very skinny and long screwdriver to get to those screws if you want to clean the filter there. We didn't have one, so it made it a hassle
