I have an old charger I bought at Walmart that I was planning to use with a lawnmower battery during the winter. It still works, although the fan doesn't turn on most of the time. I bought a Topdon charger to keep in touch with the motorcycle battery until it dies for a long time when I'm not riding. I like that it has multiple settings, for example for small 12V batteries and lithium batteries. I've had it on my motorcycle battery for over a week now. I've tested this multiple times and neither the charger nor the battery gets hot or warm. The power cord and charging cables are quite long in my humble opinion. Very satisfied so far!
