Based on some reviews here I was a bit skeptical about this tool but I was fed up with driving with a cloudy/slippery/dirty windshield that seemed impossible to clean with the traditional rag and windex method. I was horrified every time I tried to clean the windshield, the distorted positions, the always unreachable underside of the windshield where it meets the dashboard, and the inevitable streaks as a result, which made me wonder why I even bothered to do the trouble. I knew there were tools for this, and I chose this one because it seemed the least lame to me. In short, he worked to the highest degree. The kit includes 3 "socks", microfiber (I think to wipe after cleaning), a cloth (to clean) and a mesh (don't know why). The instructions say to spray the cleaning fluid (I used a windshield cleaner similar to Windex) directly onto the windshield and then wipe it off with a tool, but for my car (Subaru Outback with EyeSight) I can't spray anything directly onto the windshield glass. (Subaru fans know why), so I just put a sock on the tool (it's a bit awkward to tighten enough to fit over the tool's triangular head) and then spray the liquid onto the cloth. Then I got to work and thanks to the shape of this tool, it easily penetrated all the recesses and corners of the windshield. This thing also has a large surface area, so it covers a large area quickly. After a quick wipe, I switched to a microfiber cloth and wiped the glass dry. That's all. I had a really clear windshield again, as opposed to the clear ones I've been driving for the past few months, and it took half the time of the "traditional" method. As for those who claim it breaks easily and/or is weak, I don't see how. Admittedly I've only used it once but even though it's all plastic it's very strong and thick so I don't know how you managed to break it. Oh, and someone complained about the hinge. I think that's one of the best features. This allows the head to be rotated to any position to accommodate the curvature of the window, not to mention that you can swipe both horizontally and vertically with ease.
