They are great 95% of the time.
I use them almost exclusively and have tried hundreds of them over the past year. My ONLY gripe is that you will occasionally come across some of these. some. any inconsistency of charcoal that has a different density or the like. It's like a tiny rock in charcoal just slides across the paper without leaving a trace. It is extremely rare that this small piece of dirt has a rough edge that leaves a scratch on the paper. Again, this is very rare. so much so that I will continue to buy and use them. but maybe the complaint is worth half a star.
