I take responsibility for not contacting the seller and giving him the opportunity to rectify the situation. I was unable to contact him due to a family event that changed my life immediately after assembling this chair for my salon. However, BUYER BEWARE! It was quite difficult to assemble the chair. Follow the instructions carefully when assembling. I've assembled dozens of chairs and this one seems like a pretty easy setup so it shouldn't have been too difficult, but there were some red flags in the building process and some issues with using this chair. 1) Do not align the screws when assembling the backrest. I had to pinch Jerry to get the seat back so it stays in place. Because of this, it's not as strong as it should be. 2) When the seat reclines, it wobbles quite a bit. A £200 customer requires you, the stylist/barber, to sit directly under the seat back "just in case" as it is NOT fixed. I put my 100 lb daughter in the chair to recline her to see if she would be firmer with half the weight on the back of the seat when in the reclined position and it didn't matter. The stool is rather weak. 3) The hydraulics are either TOO HEAVY or simply defective. The seat will NOT raise or lower. 4) I can't turn the chair. Not an inch at all 5) The zipper on the back of the seat opened up during assembly for the first 1-2 minutes trying to attach the backrest to the metal support on the bottom of the seat. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the product. It's very, very badly built. I love saving money and this one had good reviews. I thought maybe I could get away with just having a "cheap chair" for my salon until COVID is over and I can't afford to get a better chair. Unfortunately, that's a few hundred dollars that I desperately needed and will never get back. I am extremely disgusted with the poor quality of this product and am only writing this review because I think people should know what they are spending their money on. This product is not worth the money. Save your money and spend a few hundred dollars on something that really works. I have bought from Minerva Beauty Supply in the past and their products are of very good quality. While some assembly is required, all holes ALWAYS match, the fabric NEVER tears, and the hydraulics never need adjustment. My only regret is that I wish I had had the time to give the seller a chance to make amends. but at that time we lost a loved one and it required a major change in our household so I was not able to give the seller an opportunity to rectify the situation at this time. However, the product sucks and such a poorly designed and engineered product shouldn't even be allowed to be sold in the market. This is dangerous for customers. After countless attempts to fix the hydraulics and tension I threw it in the bin and now have to find the money for a better chair which I will most likely buy from a beauty store rather than Revain.
