First I have to say that it works well when the apple is in a certain size range, but when the apples are bigger, not so much. I had trouble with apples I bought from a local orchard that were quite large. The peeler itself has suction cups and sticks to the counter fairly well, but the peeler blade only extends to a certain limit. Today I did a real test by cooking apples for apple butter in a slow cooker. I had to rip out a paring knife and manually peel 3 apples out of about a dozen. The corer/slicer worked great on all the apples and was really helpful. Still glad I bought it but wish it could handle bigger fruit.
