The first thing that struck me when I opened it was the impressive packaging - they come in an elegant box and come in a variety of sizes of silicone ear pads. comes in a headphone case, a nice and unexpected plus. The fact is that Symphonized is clearly trying to sell a quality product, and not collect the cheapest headphones in order to maximize profit. So points for that. When it comes to the headphones themselves, I'm divided. On the one hand, they are definitely bass-heavy and NOT balanced. So if you like the overall sound, you'll love these. If you prefer something more neutral and natural then no. On the other hand, the sound is also clear and not dull, which means that sometimes heavy bass sounds so simple in the headphones because the high frequencies are cut off. With them, the high frequencies actually come into their own quite well. It's just low frequencies. Can't comment on durability as I only received them today, but overall I'd say they're excellent *for the money*. It's obviously unfair to compare them to something like the high end Shure - they should be compared to other headphones in the same price range and I suspect they're the best you'll find in this category. Final verdict, if they last 6 months I would buy another pair. For budget headphones - excellent.
