I liked the thicker fleece! I live in a cold climate where a warm balaclava is preferred over a thin, breathable mesh construction. A two-piece assembly that fastens at the back offers more versatility than some of the more restrictive balaclavas. I agree with the reviewer who said the upper looks uneven. Small dots are visible where the seams end at the top of the balaclava. However, I think it looks more like a hat than a tight hijab. It looks like you're wearing a stylish hat and an alligator around your neck, and you don't have to wear multiple clothing items. It offers ample coverage on the sides and is fully adjustable with a drawcord. I think it's mostly worn under a snowboard helmet anyway. As it's a bit thicker than others I've seen, make sure your helmet fits over your clothing!
