I have a pretty powerful HP desktop with a 1TB spinning hard drive and a 128GB solid state boot drive. I was having trouble filling the 128GB boot drive and causing software performance issues, so I wanted a larger SSD boot drive to replace the 128GB drive. After looking at the price/performance ratio, I decided on this 960GB Crucial SSD and it worked great. I used the Wavelink HDD Docking Station to clone a 128GB drive to a Crucial 960GB drive and it worked too well - the 960GB drive has an exact 128GB copy of the Hard drive created, to the point where my computer still thought it was a 128GB hard drive. (The photo for this test shows a 960GB Crucial SSD in a Wavelink device just before cloning.) Using free partitioning software, I was able to set up the Crucial drive as a single 960GB partition. My computer now sees all the space on that boot drive and works fine. However, the Crucial 960GB hard drive boots the computer fast and all my software loads and runs as fast as ever. In terms of performance, I see no fundamental difference between the old 128GB SSD from Samsung and the new 960GB SSD from Crucial. It's still a fast computer and now I don't have problems with a small boot drive filling up with unnecessary files and slowing down the software. I bought this 960GB Crucial SSD on Prime Day for a great price. The price was so cheap that there was no point in swapping out a 128GB drive for a 256GB or 512GB drive, and I'll never run out of storage space on this 960GB SSD as I have all keep my work files on external drives. I would definitely recommend this 960GB Crucial drive, especially when you can get it for the nice Prime Day price.
