The reviewers' praise for this article is well deserved.

About a week ago, Revain temporarily shelved this model due to a "construction error" and offered customers a nearly identical product with the same serial number but without the "Z". At the end. I bought this model and the chat agent assured me there would be no problems. Had not. Acronis software, which can be downloaded from both this company and Crucial (support link), unpacked and worked fine. Replacing the tiny screws on the computer's SSD bracket proved to be quite a challenge, but was…

Hassle-free installation and transfer. Watch the video!

I have a Dell 9550 XPS15 with a 500GB hard drive. I replaced it with a 1TB HDD two years ago and now I have a 1TB SSD. I followed the instructions in the videos and everything went fine with just one small issue: I use my computer to make music and the software that uses iLok to register it saw my new SSD as a brand new computer so I used the Drives had to be replaced with new ones. deactivate the license on the HDD before I can add it to the SSD. No problem with Crucial - probably that would…

Works great on my HP desktop

I have a pretty powerful HP desktop with a 1TB spinning hard drive and a 128GB solid state boot drive. I was having trouble filling the 128GB boot drive and causing software performance issues, so I wanted a larger SSD boot drive to replace the 128GB drive. After looking at the price/performance ratio, I decided on this 960GB Crucial SSD and it worked great. I used the Wavelink HDD Docking Station to clone a 128GB drive to a Crucial 960GB drive and it worked too well - the 960GB drive has an…

Much faster than the original drive

I bought this drive to replace a spinning drive in a laptop that was often slowing down due to hard drive latency. The machine runs Windows 10 Home and Debian Linus Buster. While not the fastest SSD available, it is much faster than the original drive. There is no longer a 20-minute period where the Windows side runs slowly waiting for the update and virus scan to complete. On the Linux side, there is a sync with the cloud storage provider for all my important files. This went from 5-10 minutes

Great performance but terrible setup

Everything that could go wrong when I replaced my old hard drive (that groaned and spun with every mouse click) with this SSD on my desktop, went wrong. I had to look up a hack/workaround for every single thing: (1) SSD wasn't recognized - in fact it crashed my entire computer the first time I plugged it in (2) formatted the SSD but failed miserably on the clone fail (man, many attempts at variations) (3). Then I downloaded other software from the Internet - another error. After many more steps

Crucial no longer supported this SSD a long time ago

Poor service and a complete lack of support from Crucial make buying this SSD a very bad choice. Support issue with this device but the management console does not recognize it. This means that you cannot properly manage or maintain the device. Even after four new versions of their management software, it is still not supported. Crucial support even lies in the provision of a replacement drive. After phoning support for almost 5 hours and proving that the problem was with the drive and not me…
