Hinged up, looks really cool. The way it's supposed to work is that the ball shouldn't move until you press the button. When the button is pressed, the ball moves slightly and changes position. The problem is that the lock doesn't hold. Even when the button is not pressed, it moves quite easily. We bought it as described for a mini projector, it didn't last. It always moves the flop, making it useless when you're trying to watch a movie. You get what you pay for, my advice is spend a little more and get something better.
