I was looking for a USB fan that can move a lot of air. While this fan setup doesn't disappoint in this regard, the lowest switch settings ultimately caused one or more fans to vibrate and rattle. After arranging a replacement, I found that the replacement did the same. In the end I decided to just leave both on, assuming it wasn't an anomaly or defect but a design quirk regarding the use of a speed limit switch to gradually wiggle the fans. lower speeds anywhere on the blade assembly. I can't say whether I heard a vibration in the bearings. Oddly enough, this vibration disappears at the highest speed. So if all you want to do is run at top speed, don't worry, this product is for you. But be careful if the fan speed switch is an important feature for you. It's entirely possible that you'll trade off a predictable high-speed whistle for an unexpected low-speed vibrate/click/pop.
