Love the item but doesn't lay flat

This is a great mat for a good price, & love the color. I bought 2 for my dogs food & water bowls & they do help contain splashing water. The only negative is that they are rolled up the wrong way. I understand the reason for rolling with the good side on the inside, but it really needs to be done the other way, rolled with the good side on the outside to prevent the corners & edges of the mat from sticking up off the floor. Neither of the mats lay flat. Not a deal breaker, but I wouldn't purchase again for this reason.

Pros

My cat and dog can be messy when they eat and drink. This mat works well to keep my floors dry.

Cons

Could trap food particles and debris in crevices
