Screws on without modification to the stock bracket. Very light and seems quite durable. It's not a heavy duty stand, but perfect for putting the bike under its own weight. Not designed to turn the bike in tight trails (didn't buy it for that reason) and I wouldn't recommend using it for mounting. It is made of aluminum and has a plastic toe cap. When not in use, it hides perfectly under the frame and stays in place. good spring
