Nice shoes BUT. I was hoping the soles for these shoes would be a little more shoe-like. They are the same as regular bathrobes except for two rubber pads. One under the heel and one under the sole (forefoot). I wanted to use them as street shoes in the summer. But I'm concerned that the thin skin around the rubber pads isn't enough to protect my child's feet from hot weather (hot asphalt and sidewalks) or wet ground (no puddles, just wet sidewalks, etc.).
