Review on Pelican 1430 Camera Case With Foam (Orange) by Michael Hughes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good enough for my mother.

I love Pelican cases. It may seem strange, but I actually buried the ashes of two relatives in this particular model. They were buried on my property where I expected to spend the rest of my life, but just in case I did move sometime in the future I just wanted to be able to pick them up easily. Both sets of ashes were in rectangular marble boxes that fit the 1430s perfectly. Life rarely goes as expected, so a few years later I remarried and eventually moved. It was easy to take these boxes out and move them to a new location. Of course I had to look sideways to see what it was like and a few paper documents were still intact from years underground and probably not quite below the frost line. I have used Pelican crates for more traditional equipment transport. Also mainly for field films. Whether it's a $30,000 Steadicam or your loved one's ashes, these durable cases will keep your belongings safe. Highly recommended.
