"Workhorse," run standard software (not heavy games; we did not install them) without any issues. My typical usage includes browsing the news and web, playing games, and navigating. The RAM that I have available is sufficient. I am not aware of the brakes when using the MIUI interface. The phone is worth the cost of purchasing it.
