Review on π MikroTik CRS312-4C+8XG-RM: High-Performance 12-Port 10G Switch with Dual Power Supply by David Miller
Great value for money 10GbaseT!
I was a bit skeptical based on the STH review of this switch with fan noise. However, I really needed a 10G switch and didn't want to mess with my satisfying Mikrotik ecosystem, so I took the plunge. In the latest RouterOS firmware, this switch is silent! Pooh! Of course at the moment I only have 1 device using the 10G port while it has a 2x10G LAG uplink to another Mikrotik. It's not enough to burden him. Still, I'm happy with the performance of the fans at this low load, and even if they start humming after full load (like at boot), that's understandable.
