Something is wrong with these gas lenses, they get sticky and foul the weld. Both 1/16 and 3/32 did the same thing, it wasn't an accident. I first used them for welding stainless steel. My welds always came out grey. I've tried all sorts of variables, I've watched tons of YouTube videos to improve my technique, thinking I'm doing something wrong all the time. I was going crazy, it discouraged me as a welder, I thought stainless steel wasn't for me. It's good that I finally have a pro on my burner and its welds are gray too. Thank god it wasn't me. I have several different gas lenses and now my welds are silver, gold and blue with ease. This is an awful product. I wasted 3 days on good welding and materials because it never occurred to me that my new gas lenses could ruin the welds.
