Okay, one remote keeps turning off

That's a really good price, but one of the remotes turned off mid-game because the battery inside was almost dead. We couldn't figure out why or how as the lid was firmly snapped on. We already tore up the box, well the kids did it so we really couldn't return it. But the other remote control works like a normal one. Hit or miss I think.
